Abstract:
Accidents are inevitable, this poses a challenging task to automotive industries. In this automotive sector passenger safety is one of the principle considerations for designing of any vehicle. This is threatened by collisions especially by head on collisions. In order to relief from these collisions bumpers are designed, to increase the functionality of bumper a hydraulic system which includes telescopic shock absorbers are integrated to the bumpers. This model can be designed and fabricated to any kind of vehicles economically with insignificant in change in weight, such system will highly mitigate the effects of head on collisions on the passengers as well as the vehicle too. This paper concerns with impact absorption by such system, design of springs in shock absorbers and variations of working fluid in the system.
