Abstract:
Automatic Identification System (AIS) usually used on ships and by vessel traffic services (VTS) for identifying and locating vessels and ships by electronically exchanging data. The satellite based Automatic Identification System coverage reaches larger than that achievable with common terrestrial Automatic Identification System. In the Satellite based AIS have many challenges of message collisions, Doppler offset, propagation Delay due large field of view covered by satellite. In order to that need of signal Detector before demodulator required. In this paper, literature review of algorithms for AIS signal detection transmitted by ships and decoding methods for detected AIS signal. Through this method which will helpful for increase detection probability and SNR performance under message interference.
