Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to optimize the Working Capital by using Goal Programming model in an Agro- Chemical Unit. Goal programming is essential to make the working capital decision perfect to stabilize the differing objectives of profitability and liquidity. It is identified that there is inconsistency in Working capital and also in inventory and debtor days. The model identifies the decision variables and hard constraints in the problem are formulated. The goals are identified and constraints are created to achieve the exact goal. In the next step LINGO software is used to solve the problem after identifying the soft and hard constraints, boundary conditions and variables. The sales forecasting is done using linear regression. The validation of the model is done. At last to check the adequacy t- test has been done through SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences).
